Would I Be Able to Write a Book Without the Notes App? Hard to Say

Joan Didion (I think in The Year of Magical Thinking?) quoted her husband John Dunne saying that little notes are often the difference between writing and not writing. I’ve found this to be true!!

Often I go back into my notes and see bits of imagined dialogue, parts of dreams, little ideas that I have barely any recollection of writing down, and often have no context but will jog my memory to an idea I had and would have otherwise forgot. So many Notes app notes ended up being in scenes of my book! Now I’m working on something new.
